It’s a very good experience for everyone to connect with each other via video calling. But, at the same time, it gets so frustrating to experience when the network or device creates some problems and the calls are not connected as smoothly as we want. And because of this inconvenience, many of us never make video calls on mobile phones.

But as a result of overcoming all these problems, Google Duo is in the air, which is a simple 1-to-1 video calling app available for Android and iOS. It takes the complexity out of video calling so that you need not wonder about the place where you are and the device you have.

Google says it built Duo for speed and simplicity; the app adjusts the video resolution depending on the speed of your connection automatically and ensures that all calls are fully encrypted.

Furthermore, Duo doesn’t plug into other Google communication apps like Hangouts. Google noted in May that it worked with the team behind WebRTC to develop an all-new protocol for fast and secure video calling. And it’s now here with some of the interesting features.

Google Duo Features: –

Simple interface:

It has a very simple interface technique. That is, for starting a video call with anyone, you just need your phone number, and you’ll be able to reach people in your phone’s contacts list. No separate account is required, so you can sign up in just a few steps. From there, you can instantly begin a video call with a single tap. And no more efforts except this.

Fast and reliable:

The slow speed and choppy videos are the worst things we feel while making a video call. So taking this problem as the center point of attraction, Google tried to remove this fault and introduced Duo to be fast and reliable so that video calls connect quickly and work well even on slower networks. When bandwidth is limited, Duo will gracefully reduce the resolution to keep the call going smoothly. Duo will automatically switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data for video calls on the go without dropping your call.

Human design:

There is a feature in Duo called Knock Knock, which lets you see live video of your caller before you answer, giving you a sense of what they’re up to and why they want to chat. Google says Knock Knock makes video calling more spontaneous and welcoming, helping you connect with the person before you even pick up so that it will feel more like an invitation rather than an interruption.

Google Duo is already available for download on Google Play & App Store starting from today.
