The wait is over after a long anticipation Google Play Music finally appeared in India. Google Play Music is a music stream service and online music locker which was launched in the US back in 2011. In the Play Music stores album, songs and movies will be available for Indian users but not have the Spotify-like ‘All Access’ streaming service.

According to rumor it was launched in July this year but due to some trouble it didn’t happen on that time. Yesterday the company announced multiple new products and services at second Google for India event skipped Play Music. Google fans across the country noticed the much waited went live for them and the search engine giant confirmed the news in a statement.

Google put some caveats which means, the subscription service in Google Play Music like “All access”, “radio” and “podcasts” are still not feasible for a user. As Google added this new feature, it set a level between other companies like Apple’s iTunes and Airtel’s Wynk Music to compete.

According to a report by Mashable, the songs will be available at Rs 15, and some are available for free downloads. There are no monthly streams to open arms from the whole library but a slight collection of Bollywood music is available here.

Google Play Music charges the stream services, available worth $9.99 in the US per month and there is also a family plan for it. The company will have to compete with other music stream services like Hangama, Saavn, Wynk and Apple as they offer monthly plans.

Google Play Music hosts individual songs type like Bollywood, regional, Indian pop, and international starting at Rs. 15 per song, and with the entire album it takes charges Rs.100- Rs.200 range. Google is also providing the facility of debit or credit cards, and the company announced that it will add other payment options in the coming future.
