Google launches Person Finder to help survivors in Nepal earthquake

The search engine giant Google has launched Person Finder on Saturday to help the victims of Nepal earthquake. A powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake shook Nepal and damage has extended to India, Bangladesh and Tibet. An official source from Nepalese Home Ministry confirms death toll reaches 1910 and 4718 people were injured.
 
The web-based Google Person Finder helps people to reconnect with friends and loved ones in the aftermath of natural and humanitarian disasters. Google India announced the launch of this tool to support the victims of Nepal earthquake to find people those who are affected by the natural disaster.

The Tool gathers information based on the user data uploaded to its system helping people to track each other.
Google Person Finder Information
People from India and US can avail the information through SMS by simply typing Text “search <name>” to +91-9773300000 in India or +1-650-800-3978 in the US. Till Sunday afternoon Google announced it has tracked about 3400 records.
