Former Yahoo Veteran Eric Lange Joins Flipkart as VP of Product Management

Leading ecommerce marketplace in India Flipkart announced the joining of Eric Lange, former Yahoo veteran, as Vice President of Product Management. He will be based at Flipkart headquarters in Bangalore and will look after the innovation, consumer experience, and customer service of the company.

Lange’s appointment is the third high-profile Silicon Valley technology executive to sign on with Flipkart this year after Punit Soni who joined as Chief Product Officer and Peeyush Ranjan who earlier in Google joined as a Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering at Flipkart.

Eric comes with more than 30 years of industry experience and served as Vice President of Yahoo where he managed the $2 billion ad business of the company. He also worked with Google for seven years, and during 2010 to 2012 he was Head of Monetization for Asia Pacific, leading product development and strategy for the company’s advertising business. Prior to joining Yahoo, Lange founded and served as CEO of, a startup dedicated to streamlining the way internet videos are viewed.

Lange who will be joining the company in August has BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Duke University.
