Leading ecommerce marketplace in India Flipkart announced joining of Eric Lange, former Yahoo veteran as Vice President of Product Management. He will be based at Flipkart headquarters in Bangalore and will look after innovation, consumer experience and customer service of the company.

Lange’s appointment is the third high-profile Silicon Valley technology executives to sign on with Flipkart this year after Punit Soni who joined as Chief Product Officer and Peeyush Ranjan who earlier in Google joined as a Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering at Flipkart.

Eric comes with more than 30 years of industry experience and served as Vice President of Yahoo where he managed $2 billion ad business of the company. He also worked with Google for seven years and during 2010 to 2012 he was Head of Monetization for Asia Pacific, leading product development and strategy for the company’s advertising business. Prior to joining Yahoo, Lange founded and served as CEO of, a startup dedicated to streamlining the way internet videos are viewed.
On joining Flipkart Punit Soni, Flipkart’s Chief Product Officer, said: “We are very excited to welcome Eric to the Flipkart team. His deep and varied expertise will be tremendously useful in helping us connect even more closely with our growing customer base.”

Lange who will be joining the company in August has BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Duke University.
