Have you noticed that Google silently revamped its desktop player for YouTube? If you are familiar with the changes then you will see a new desktop player with sleeker look-and-feel for YouTube that replaced the old one.

Google Operating System who first spotted the changes in a blog post says, Google has been testing the feature for few months.

About the roll out of its new service YouTube writes on TestTube page

Our new player design has a bit more polish, gets out of the way of your video playback, and scales to any screen or embed size. Give it a spin while we continue to add features and refine the look and feel.

The newly HTML 5 video player comes with more polished design and are compatible with any screen or embed size. In the new player you will find a transparent control bar that automatically hides when you’re not using it and it also features with new buttons and dropdown menus.
