Though a bit late, Facebook-owned Instagram at last added a new feature that makes more useful - especially for power users of the app. This will be available in version 7.15 for iOS and Android app - now users without login in and log out into multiple accounts can link up-to five accounts on the same device.
You can add up-to five accounts in your Instagram app
Instead of having to log out and log in to each account every time you can now switch your accounts with a few simple taps and browse or post new content. The popular photo-sharing app has been testing the feature for the last couple of months – now power users can also manage their brand profile from the same account.
Once you have all your accounts set up, Instagram will be sure to let you know which one you are posting with so that you will not post incorrect post and wrong selfie to your work account.
Here is your complete guide on how you can add more accounts to your existing app.
- To take advantage of it you need to go to your profile and click the 'settings' icon in the top right of the screen.
- Then scroll down and tap the 'Add Account’ button, and put your username and password to log in to your account.
- Now type the login credentials for your new account.
- Once that's all sorted, you will be able to switch between different accounts by tapping your username at the top of the profile screen.
The new feature also includes push notifications for all accounts, so if someone likes a picture on any of your accounts, you'll get notified, even if you're not logged in. So if you have not updated your app head to App Store and the Google Play Store to download the update.
