Google is rolling out a new version of Google Drive for Android app – it comes with simpler user options, and you can download or upgrade from Google Play Store. With the new version, users will get more controls on their folders and deleted files and also can view their teammates who shared files with them.
Google Drive users get 15GB of free storage where they can upload and save their files from any device. With their Android app, they can organize their files available both on the app and on the web, giving users access from anywhere.
The updates were announced in the Google Apps Update blog, where Google detailed the update.
- A new menu icon next to a file or folder will pop up a set of contextual actions you can take on the file or folder.

- You’ll now have the ability to view trash and delete or restore files from within your Android app
- When viewing the “Shared With Me” view, you’ll now see the avatars of the person who has shared with you.
The update will be rolled out to all end users over the next three days. Here you can update the latest version of the app or your Android device from the Google Play Store.
