Unlike what was expected by Apple, a brand new model number, iPhone7 rumors suggest that it will not see any big changes from iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The design might be the same aluminum metal unibody chassis with curved edges that we have seen in iPhone 6S.

A rumored picture posted on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo and Czech blog LetemSvetemApplem published on their website speculating it could be the upcoming iPhone 7. Though the authenticity of the image could not be verified, it can be assumed the device could be a probable successor to the iPhone 6S.

In the last couple of months, we’ve been hearing iPhone 7 will not have a major shift in design from iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus but will come with advanced features like a better camera, faster processor, and maybe a speedier Touch ID fingerprint sensor. If the images are to be believed, we could see a shaking difference in the device from its predecessor – with its redesigned antenna lines and hole between camera modules.

Since Huawei P9 and LG G5 have two rear-facing cameras, it is rumored that Apple might also bring the same feature to their device. Apple will stick to protruding camera designs like iPhone 6S, which is unsightly, but Apple has tried to embrace it. The dramatic rumors say it might drop headphone jacks in favor of working on lightning-based ear pods and also will use Bluetooth in headphones to connect wirelessly.

Though it is not confirmed if the tech giant is planning to bring bigger screen size devices, we could assume they’ll stick to the 4.7 and 5.5’’ screen sizes in the 2 versions of the iPhone7.  It will also have a smart connector on the back shell, internal specs are not yet known, but it can include A10 processors manufactured by TSMC, providing faster specs and processor speed.

iPhone 7 will be unveiled in a matter of months and could be the last to use LCD technology if reports are accurate.
