As the expected iPhone7 launch is just a month away, more news rumors are coming out with probable designs and new features. A new report suggests that; Apple is planning to replace the Home key with a virtual button that supports haptic feedback.

In the last version of iPhones, i.e., iPhone 6s and 6S Plus, Apple has added Touch ID and added a couple of new features. Apple was using the Home key in the previous model, but a new Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman says that the technology giant to eliminate the Key in the upcoming model.

Apple brings out the concept of Virtual Button, which is already inbuilt in Apple’s existing devices. The home button on iPhone is an opening key used to analyze the user ID as well as for scanning the fingerprints.

A virtual Home button will prompt you from the Screen, giving easy to unlock your phone in a secure way as users sometimes face issues with it. The same Home button is used for Touch ID; replacing this will not be a good idea. But, Apple may have a backup plan and probably will come up with more secure ways instead of the Home button.

Apple already has features like Taptic Engine to generate haptic feedback for 3D Touch in the iPhone 6s. The company may use of some type of technology to generate a Home button without actually sporting a physical button.

Since there has been no major design change in the last three years, it is expected Apple might take this year to make a bit of change to the iPhone 7. Earlier, we reported that the upcoming device would come with a Dual Lens Camera to beautify its picture quality. If the rumors are to believe iPhone 7 will replace the headphone jack and sport wireless headphones.

Apple may launch its much-talked device in early September this year.
