The South Korean technology company Samsung Electronics has announced that it has started the mass production of Exynos 7 Quad 7570. This Application processor (AP) is first of its type built on 14 Nanometer (nm) process technology.
The newest processor from Samsung, compared to the old 28nm processor, has improved 70 in percent CPU performance and 30 percent in power efficiency. Further, it has also reduced its total chip size by 20 percent. It will helps to build slim smartphones.
The Exynos 7 Quad 7570 is specially designed for budget smartphones for better performance. The application processor supports screen resolution up to WXGA. It can record and playback videos in full HD and improved ISP for image signal processors on 8MP front and 13MP back cameras.
“With Exynos 7570, more consumers will be able to experience the performance benefits of the advanced 14nm FinFET process in affordable devices,” said Ben K. Hur, Vice President of System LSI Marketing at Samsung Electronics. “By successfully integrating various connectivity solutions, Samsung is strengthening its competitiveness in the single chip market.”
More to its functions is that it comes with various wireless connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Navigation Satellite System. The new is fully integrated with 4 LTE 2CA modem and connectivity solutions. It will provide smart devices with a better experience.
