Huawei is stepping forward in the world of mid-range phone markets with its two budgeted smartphones, namely Nova and Nova plus. Huawei Nova and Nova Plus were introduced at the IFA Berlin Conference last month, and now it is available for sale in China.

Nova’s design is much similar to the Nexus 6p, which was made last year by Huawei itself.

The 5-inch phone with 7.1 mm thickness weighs only 146g, and 89% of the body is made of metal. The smartphones come in two variants: – a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM version and a 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM version. Both versions have Qualcomm’s eight-core Snapdragon 625 processor with dual SIM slots supporting 4G networks.

Huawei Nova sports a 12-mega pixel rear camera on the back and an 8-mega pixel camera up front for selfies and video calls. Furthermore, it has Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and a fingerprint scanner under the hood with a 3020mAh battery.

The price of Nova’s 3GB version is 20814.44 Rs. ($312), and for 4GB it’s 23749.81 Rs. ($356). The 3GB version is available in Bright Moon White and Champagne Gold, while the 4GB RAM version comes in Rose Gold and Champagne Gold.

This Nova edition includes a variety of themes. Each version of the phone, which is available in gold, rose gold, silver, and grey, has its own dedicated theme that provides color continuity across hardware and software, but several other choices also come pre-installed. They have names such as “feather”, “sweet,” and “wind” and feature ethereal, pastel-hued scenes with icons to match.

Both these smartphones will be available in Europe within the next two months.
