Six months ago, Google introduced a new keyboard for iOS users and now after a long wait, the search giant has rolled out Gboard for Android users as well. Google’s Gboard is similar to a simple keyboard featuring the Google search bar built into the app.

Google provided the information that the new keyboard will be similar to the old one in terms of speed and accuracy and will also provide both the options of glide typing and voice typing. We can also search and share information, GIFs, emojis, and much more directly from the keyboard.

Moreover, for making the Gboard more useful and more advanced, Google has added multilingual typing to it so that users can switch to other languages easily.

Here are the new features that come with Gboard:

Searching and sharing

Searching using the keyboard is normal but Gboard is also able to share the searched results right on the keyboard. Now using Gboard users can get information like weather reports, and flight timing and share it with their contacts directly from the Gboard itself.

Furthermore, it is also able to predict the possible searches matching a user query. Like if you type “Let’s meet if the weather looks good” then it will show you the weather report.

It’s very common to share videos or emojis while chatting with a friend. This makes to leave your app, make the search for desired emoji or video and then get back to the app and send it to your friend. Now all these time-consuming efforts are removed by Gboard as it will provide everything into it. Just search the required emoji or video by Gboard and with a single click send it to your friend without leaving your current app.

Smarter and Faster typing

Autocorrections, Predictions, Glide typing everything is improved to a higher level which makes the typing much faster, much smarter. Gboard is also now smart enough to provide us the suggestions and corrections from any of our enabled languages as it is a multilingual keyboard. Gboard is currently supporting more than 100 languages and Google claimed that it will support more languages in the coming months.

Gboard is a package of so many facilities just in one place, it is too much fruitful for the users in every term. The newly branded app is already available on the Play Store with all the interesting features.
