Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi Note 4 in India next week. After receiving a good response for the Redmi Note 3 (the company has sold over 2.3 million units of the Redmi Note 3 in India alone), the Redmi Note 4 improves in several significant ways over its predecessor. The Redmi Note 4 comes in two variants 2GB RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB RAM with 64GB storage model respectively. It also bears a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel.

The highlight of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is its metal build and the Redmi Note 4 is powered by deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, though the company may launch another variant in the country.

Xiaomi has already sent out early invitations for a launch event in New Delhi on January 19. A few months before, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was already launched in China back in August. The company has not yet revealed any information about the launch of the product but it did state that the event was the 2017 Mi product launch.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 X 1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density of 401ppi. It consists of a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. The 5-megapixel front camera of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features an 85-degree wide angle lens.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 not only supports a fingerprint scanner but also features an infrared sensor. The new Xiaomi smartphone provides various connectivity options like GPRS/EDGE, 3G, and 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB, and Glonass. The upcoming smartphone is powered by a 4100mAh battery and weighs 175 grams.

The 16GB model was priced at CNY 899 (approx. Rs.9000) and the 64GB storage model was priced at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs.12000). The information about the pricing and availability for India will be revealed during the event only. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is expected to be available in Gold, Grey, and Silver colors.
