Since Hugo Barra joined the company as its international Vice President, the company has launched a great catalog of products not only smartphones but product includes smart home appliances, home entertainment gear, and streaming set-top boxes in more than 20 countries including Asia, and Russia, Europe and Mexico.

Moreover, Barra believes that he’s leaving Xiaomi “in a very good place on its global expansion path”, it’s hard to imagine anyone else bringing the same kind of passion, charm, and attention to detail to the role as he did.

Hugo wrote in his Facebook profile that “We now have the team of some of the most remarkable and enthusiastic people I have ever worked with, and leaving them all behind is, without doubt, the most difficult part of stepping away. At the same time, I know I’ll be leaving them in very good hands.”
