Android’s latest version Nougat, has not completed a year and many devices yet not have Nougat with them, there is murmur that Google is planning to name of the next version Android. Google first released Android Nougat on March last year and the upcoming version will be named starting with letter ‘O’.
Google’s executive might have hinted us about the next Android version. Company’s senior VP of Android Play and Chrome OS, Hiroshi Lockheimer, on Monday, February 20, tweeted the GIF of an Oreo cake. If the naming convention of Android versions to be followed ‘O’ should be the initial for the next version. Therefore, Lockheimer’s tweet is directly pointing to the upcoming version.

We can only make our guessing about the upcoming Android version, although the company didn’t announce officially yet.
According to Google’s I/O 2017 schedule we might get some more teasers or official launches of any news about the upcoming version possible till March.
We have to wait a little for getting some official news about new Android version.
