A year ago Facebook has added six reaction buttons but some users disappointed since they missed “dislike” option that time. A new report suggests that the social media giant has been working on the dislike button but only for the Messenger app. If everything goes fine then Facebook users can see “Dislike” button with thumbs down reaction soon.

According to report of TechCrunch, Facebook is going through some testing of new reaction feature in its most popular app. Users now add reaction emojis in conversation with old emojis and reaction – a total of 7 reactions and with the new favorite thumbs down is also there.

Messenger Reactions

With new reaction there is “thumbs up” also present, and talking about rest they are same to those like on Facebook posts. If you want to send a reaction, you have to just tap on emojis button and chose your favorite from the list. The new update also to bring “reaction counter”, that means now you can see the total number of reactions for your each messages.

Facebook said “We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.”

They also said that the new “thumbs down” button is “No” button not a dislike button. And, added that testing of new feature is tested out with some of people and now if test turns out to be a successful then it will be available to all users.
