Apple on Tuesday announced it is updating one of its most powerful high-end desktops Mac Pro with an all-new radical modular design. The upgraded one, which will be released after this year, is a “rethought model” and is intended for demanding professional users.

Apple is currently hard at work on a “completely rethought” Mac Pro, with a modular design that can accommodate high-end CPUs and big honking hot-running GPUs, which should make it easier for Apple to update with new components on a regular basis.

Customers who can’t wait can get their boosted specs on their current model. Updates on Apple-branded displays will come with the discontinued Thunderbolt display and High-end throughput modular system. The noticing thing is that Apple has decided to refresh the specifications of the Mac Pro after three long years. Apple also announced that it would reduce the prices with the belief that there would be an increase in the purchase of desired audience machines.

Mac Pro has some fixed Pro customers in need of faster and better dollars. The company is working on updating the configs. Some of its specs are as follows:

The CPUs and GPUs will move down the line to get more performance per dollar for specific customers.

Senior Vice President Phil Schiller acknowledged that the 2013 Mac Pro had not been well received by many pros, and it was this that had led to the radical rethink.

With regards to the Mac Pro, we are in the process of what we call “completely rethinking the Mac Pro.” We’re working on it. We have a team working hard on it right now, and we want to architect it so that we can keep it fresh with regular improvements, and we’re committed to making it our highest-end, high-throughput desktop system, designed for our demanding pro customers.

As part of a new Mac Pro — it is, by definition, a modular system — we will also be doing a pro display. Now you won’t see any of those products this year; we’re in the process of that. We think it’s really important to create something great for our pro customers who want a Mac Pro modular system, and that’ll take longer than this year to do.

The current model named Albeit is upgrading in the modest form. The model goes for $2,999 and a 6-core Intel Xeon processor, dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs and 16GB of memory, and for $3,999, you will now get an 8-core processor and dual D700 GPUs. Thus, both will get the update in cost and the boost in memory.
