Apple on Wednesday released the second beta of iOS 11 to developers with multiple changes and bug fixes. A large number of bugs that have been infecting users by crashing or deleting voicemail, manual screen brightness not staying set, and 3D Touch on phone numbers and addresses have been fixed. Users were facing several issues in the newly released iOS 11 betas, and some known issues came in front of the users.
For example, even after the cancellation of the SoS alert, it was sent to the contacts.
Following is the list of new features
Table of Contents
Do Not Disturb While Driving:
This feature will lock your phone while driving and send an auto-reply (customizable in Settings → Do Not Disturb) should someone text you.
This feature allows the user to disable the Show Recent option that displays the names of the most recently used apps. This will display on those apps that you have added to the dock. To do so, go to General –> Multitasking.
According to Apple’s beta release notes, it supports Hindi Dictation.
Control Center: Control Center can also be disabled inside of applications similar to previous iOS editions. This option leaves Control Center accessible from the Home screen. Bluetooth in Control Center works like a Wi-Fi option, thereby disconnecting instead of toggling it off.
Safari includes various features such as Constant Properties, CSS Spring Animations, WebGPU, Web Animations, and much more. To view these features go to the Settings app in the Safari section under Advanced.
Now a new option is available to save your photos, documents, and other files to the Files app. This new option is the “Save to files” Share Sheet option that will ask you to choose a location. Save to Files replaces Add to iCloud Drive.
Also, the Files app can now display external locations like Google Drive and Box. PDF Expert and many other apps that display location but do not use the new iOS 11 file extensions.
There’s a new blur animation when pulling down from the top of the device to bring up the Lock Screen/Notification Center or when pulling up to access the Home screen again.
