The latest beta version of Gboard will be unveiled by this evening with one of the most compelling features along with several small upgraded interfaces. The major change is in an incognito mode that is visible in Chrome’s incognito mode. So following describes a list of features.

Incognito Mode:

As compared to an earlier version, users will see a new incognito background on the keyboard while browsing. This indicates that Gboard history won’t be able to remember and store the text that the user searches. According to sources, it was unable to store text fields like user credentials like logins and passwords, limiting Chrome’s features.

GIF shortcut in the toolbar:

Google is already providing multiple functions in the Gboard toolbar, and now it includes another shortcut for the GIF button. So now, users can find and insert GIFs in Gboard in three different ways (emoji keyboard, toolbar, search). It also allows users to hide at least one.

Tweaked theme Page:

There are a few visual changes made in this latest beta version. A new My Themes section takes over, and sort of integrates Custom and Recently used. The sliding carousel of themes is replaced by a grid. Now the Show All icon is present at the last of each section, and now it will be referred to as Show more. Unlike opening the complete list on the new page, it now displays all the themes on the same page. At present, there are no new themes made available.

New move and resize screen for one-handed Keyboard:

The feature to resize the one-handed keyboard was available in Gboard 6.2, and the feature still remains the same in Gboard 6.4, but there is a change in the design of the icons. The new icons are more clear as compared to earlier versions.

You can download Gboard 6.4.11 beta from APK Mirror if the update is not available on the Play Store. If you desire to download it officially, you will have to join the official beta program and wait for the updates on your device.
