Apple has officially launched iPhone 8; however, it is not that special edition high-end model that many had long been anticipating. But we also have that high-end iPhone as well and Apple has named it iPhone X. As expected, the third iPhone is the bigger iPhone 8 Plus.

iPhone 8 seems to be iPhone 7S because it looks more like the incremental upgrade to iPhone 7 that we had in 2016. However, it still comes with a new improved display, glass design, upgraded camera, and many more new features.

So, now that we have the iPhone 8, let’s find out what exactly has Apple come up with and if it stays true to all those rumors that had been floating around prior to its release or not.

Faster innards

A major upgrade that iPhone 8 has received, as expected, is that it features A11 Bionic processor chip. And, as rumored, it’s been manufactured with the latest 10nm process.

A11 Bionic

If you don’t really understand what difference it can make, it actually means that your new iPhone will be able to run far more efficiently and the battery life will also be increased. You’ll also be able to use more of higher-power apps on your device as well. The new powerful chip will also help a lot in pushing AR experience on the new iPhone.

The glass back design and Wireless charging

The new iPhone 8 is not at all different in terms of design from iPhone 7. Though it wouldn’t be that welcoming for anyone who was anticipating a redesign but never wanted to bear huge expense on iPhone X, but still there is something that this iPhone has to offer to such people in terms of its glass back.

Wireless Charging

With a glass back coming to iPhone 8, it can now be charged wirelessly as well. In fact, the wireless charging feature will be available in all three iPhones. For wireless charging, Apple has introduced Qi standard in its new iPhones and it is expected to be the new trend coming to smartphones pretty soon.

With a glass back, the new iPhone also feels a bit lighter as well. The 4.7” display also takes up considerably less space when in hand, and the Touch ID button is also easily accessible.

The design, overall, is pretty much similar to what we had before – but certainly, there is a slight improvement in its overall – and the phone looks more attractive in the newly introduced gold color.

iPhone 8 screen

iPhone 8 screen has been upgraded and we don’t have the same thing as in iPhone 7. It is, in fact, one of the most noticed changes that could come to the iPhone 8. The 4.7” iPhone display now comes with Retina HD display to make it sharper and clearer.

Screen Display

The LCD is also quite bright and clear and the Retina display gives you that nice-looking vista that you can peer at.

But one thing worth mentioning here is that the LCD in iPhone 8 simply pales away as compared to OLED display that Apple has added to iPhone X, and if it were a bit brighter then things could’ve been better for iPhone 8 to be called as flagship iPhone.

The display in iPhone 8 also features True Tone tech from iPad Pro. And, this technology, obviously, affects display color; however, in the demo area, one couldn’t really have said whether it’s gone a notch up from what we had in iPhone 7 last year.

Better camera

We’ve also got a bit of boost from Apple in terms of camera. And, even though Apple has decided to stick to that same 12 MP sensor towards the back, it’s gone better.

Apple Camera

And, quite disappointingly, it is still a single sensor that we had in last year’s iPhone 7. Even though it doesn’t do a terrible job, as iPhone 7 could capture some really great photos, but still it would have been better if Apple had come up with two sensors this time around. And, with the name making a jump to iPhone 8, we really were expecting something better from Apple.

However, overall photo quality is superb and you’d love your pictures capture through your new iPhone. A bit of zoom in will show that you have bright, crisp and clear pictures.

So, decide right now which of the new iPhones you are going to get and have your iPhone delivered by the end of the month. Enjoy the new experience!
