Slack was recently down for many global users. The good news is that it is now back. Although, it is not yet clear what could cause the issue.
Recent situations
A prolific number of users were tweeting about their experiences containing difficulties. Down Detector came across a constant increase in reports. As per the heat map, Central Europe and the East and West Coasts of the U.S. are the areas most affected by the issue.
On the other hand, quite a few TNW staffers were struggling to connect to the messaging service. Quoting TNW, “This is unfortunate because it likely means they’re getting fired. It was a pleasure working with you.”
Slack is Back
Well, this was the follow-up to the last series of updates:
- Outage Report received an overwhelming number of reports claiming that the popular message platform is down.
- Slack apparently found the felon and blamed it on a “small connectivity blip.” The support team reported that the service was back, but there were still users facing issues.
- Slack finally resolved the issue and is working fine, as its status page reports.
