Only hours to go for the unveiling, and we will bring you full specs of the Pixel XL 2. We came across a few surprises as compared to the leaks going around.

The Pixel XL 2 has a 6-inch P-OLED screen, thanks to LG. The aspect ratio is 18:9 with 1,440 x 2,880 pixel resolution. There is no Always On Display in the list, but it seems it will ultimately be there. Frankly, both the OS 8.0 Oreo and the screen support the feature. The screen, lastly, has the protection of Gorilla Glass 5.

In case you are concerned about the SIM, it is a dual SIM smartphone. There is a nano-SIM slot and a permanent embedded SIM or eSIM. The phone supports both CDMA and GSM.

We did not receive anything on the 3.5mm audio jack, although there is a feature called ‘Adaptive Audio Amplifier.’ There are 3 mics with Wi-Fi calling and noise cancellation as well.

In the list, there are no specs details for the camera department. But, the selfie cam is listed, which is nothing new with an 8MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture. As for the main camera, there are rumors suggesting 12mp with OIS.

In the same context, a special feature is the Pixel Visual Core. According to rumors, Google created a special chip for image processing. This goes beyond the HDR+ (!) and runs on the IPS of Qualcomm.

Furthermore, the XL 2 is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and carries 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There might be a 128GB storage variant, whereas a 256GB variant seems less likely. Google Assistant is loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The built consists of aluminum make. The phone has a small glass window at the rear. There is no IP rating, and dust and water resistance are at the basic stage.

XL 2 has a 3,520 mAh battery, and it does not have wireless charging, as rumored before.

Further rumors suggest that an ‘advanced x-axis haptics sensor’ is a new part of the Pixels. It may be similar to the squeeze sensor of the HTC U11.
