The new Messenger feature offers you to send money to your dear ones through messaging platform. It is so convenient that it is now one of the most used options to send money under $50 in the US.
People of UK and France were asked about the occasion when they wanted to send money to their friends. The list included celebrations, social events, and festive occasions. Messenger recognized that this feature is a need not only to share money but to share the priceless emotions connected with it.
This Application was first launched in the US in the year 2015. After it became the essential part of people’s lives in the US, Messenger extended its launch in UK and France. This is the first feature by Messenger with an option to send money within boundaries specified. It, therefore, offers a P2P method of payment on your Messenger. So, how you can send money to your contacts on the Messenger app? Here are the steps you can follow:
- First, start the message with your dear ones.

- Then, the next step you need to do is set your payment account (only the first time) and enter the amount you want to send.
- After the tap on Pay, you can add your debit card details.
- Finally, look for the amount of money you sent rain down on the screen.
Same way to receive money on the other end – you need to:
- Initially, open the conversation with your dear one.
- Next, tap Add Card in the message, add your debit card, and set up your payment account to accept money for the first time.
The procedures are simple as well secure. The spokesperson from Messenger clearly stated that Messenger will use the authentic identities for you to know who you’re talking to. So, as per the security issue related to payment is concerned, Messenger take extra steps for your protection. Here, all debit card credentials are encrypted and protected with bank-level security, with world-class anti-fraud specialists monitoring your payments.
At some point of time, if it happens that Messenger finds unauthorized activity on your account, it will work with you to secure your account again. In Messenger, this feature can be used only with debit cards so if you see unauthorized charges, you have recourse with your bank.
Messenger is known to come out with an additional feature known as M suggestions for payments in the UK and France. This feature will offer suggestions by popping out into an open conversation to suggest relevant content and capabilities. M is powered by artificial intelligence and so is completely automated, and will recognize when people will be discussing payments. At this point, it will give them the option of easily sending or requesting money.
