This year on July 26, Millet released its MIUI 9, and it has been over 3 months that the customized Android UI is in beta stage. Well, as per Millet’s official revealing, the stable version of MIUI 9 will soon wear the ‘official’ tag.

Today, Millet said that they have paced up this stable version upgrade via a major wave. This wave includes 18 Millet models that can now receive the MIUI 9 stable version upgrade.

In the developmental version launch of MIUI 9, the first models receiving the update were – Millet Max 2, Millet 6, Millet Note 3, Red Rice 4X, Millet 5X, and Red Rice Note 5A. Starting today, the models receiving the same are – Millet Max2, Millet Note2, Millet MIX2, Millet 6, Millet 5 / 5c / 5X / 5s / 5s Plus. The other models – Red Rice Note 4X high-pass version, Millet 4s, and 4c, and Millet Note top version – will be gradually receiving the stable version as well.

You can receive the update on your Millet device in two ways. One, via the Millet official online upgrade (OTA) method that will give you the official upgrade push notifications. This is also possible directly from MIUI 5 and 6 – “set up my device – MIUI version of” test upgrades. The MIUI 7 and 8 stable versions will also receive the direct upgrade to MIUI 9.

Second, you can opt for the MIUI Forum Manual Brush upgrade. The MIUI Forum webpage provides the complete brush package for the 18 models to be upgraded to the MIUI 9 stable version.

MIUI 9 has improvements in terms of simplifying the system, while at the same time maintaining the functional integrity, ultimately offering a sublime user experience. Other improvements consist of a new file system and bearing an intelligent system allocation optimization acceleration technology. This further contributes to the increment of the pace of user experience.
