We all love colors, isn’t it? Vimeo, with its new technology, promise you to provide one of the best experience in the world of HDR videos. Vimeo has officially announced to support dynamic range (HDR) videos. This has officially arrived across the company’s entire suite of apps for the iPhone X, 2017 iPad Pro models, and Apple TV 4K.

The company has further approached HDR with 10-bit graphics and a BT.2020 wider color gamuts (WCG) by leveraging the next-generation High-efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard. This will ultimately help in supporting video makers and editors who shoot in HDR. Now they can upload them to Vimeo with the highest color accuracy. Vimeo seems to gain an advantage over YouTube which has failed to support even 4K video on Apple TV.

One of the spokespeople for the company stated that:

We now support 10-bit video, which means the image quality is strikingly clear and cleaner than ever before. The precision and nuance of 10-bit allow us to upgrade from 16 million colors to 1 billion colors.

With BT.2020 (or Rec.2020) support and wider color gamuts (WCG), your image will now represent over 75% of the color that the human eye can see. That’s a big change: most modern color gamuts in videos are limited to a 35% color range. But with BT.2020, we can truly depict your deepest reds, brightest greens, and darkest blacks never like before.”

Vimeo clearly stated that now it will support output of resolution levels (4K, 5K, 6K, and 8K), so the user may download them for file sharing later. As we know, Vimeo is a place where creators can sell videos. Here the company experienced that 8K Ultra HD support not only deals with streaming video but also selling, distributing, and submitting videos to festivals with the best quality possible.

Ultimately Vimeo promises users to unlock resolution up to 8K. You can noticeably see the difference between the others and Vimeo. So get ready for the feast to your eyes. Don’t forget to let us know about your views over this.
