Samsung Galaxy S9 reported to increase its battery capacity to 3,200mAh

Samsung Galaxy S9

With the presentation of Samsung’s next flagship as a backdrop, the network of networks begins to collect more and more reports on the device. The last one to appear on the scene informs us about the talk of the possible increase in the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S9 up to 3,200 mAh. An increase in that at the end would increase the autonomy compared to the values offered by the Samsung Galaxy S8 and its 3,000 mAh battery.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy S9 embodied in the CAD drawings reflects that the company, supposedly, will not offer major changes in the aesthetic section. However, the datasheet of the Galaxy S9 could be updated significantly. This is suggested by the talks that are appearing at the same time that the event for the presentation of the model is approaching. In that sense, today we have the first data on the possible capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S9 battery.

Battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S9, in figures

The truth is that everything points to the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be the highlight, above the design section. Therefore, it is expected that in 2018 the terms will be reversed regarding what happened earlier this year, with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and its Infinity Display as one of the great novelties.

According to the information gathered today, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will include a more powerful processor, more RAM and technical improvements in general. Among those improvements is the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 – SoC Exynos 9810 for the international version. And what about the Samsung Galaxy S9 battery? Well, until now we did not have major references in this regard but different Asian media put us behind the track of the first details in this field.

It would have been a tester of a unit of pre-production of the Galaxy S9 which ended up filtering a data that indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S9 battery would raise its capacity to 3,200 mAh. If this happens, we would be facing an increase of 200 mAh compared to the capacity offered by the Samsung Galaxy S8. Since the components of S9 -mainly the processor- will be more efficient, it would confirm that autonomy would also improve.
