Samsung Galaxy J2: Everything we know about the new entry-level smartphone

Author at TechGenyz Mobile
Samsung Galaxy J2

Amid the floating news of Samsung Galaxy S9, the South Korean company is planning to churn out quite a few low-end offerings next year. Today, we take an unofficial look at the cheapest within this range – the modest Samsung Galaxy J2 for 2018 which is expected to create the vide among Samsung lovers.

As the new year is just around the corner, we can see more activity in the last weeks of this month for the technology mega-events like CES or the Mobile World Congress. Whether in the form of official presentations or filtered information, all brands are showing what surprise they want to give. This week, one of the protagonists has been Samsung and its mid-range smartphone which yesterday and today have taught the full-specs of the upcoming smartphone.

Features and appearance of the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018)

Yesterday we woke up with the surprise of the official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 + for 2018. Some terminals that have little to envy their brothers in the high range because although we talk about the mid-range which is where they move Galaxy A and Galaxy J families from Samsung. The new A8 comes with premium details like an infinite screen and a double camera.

The flagship device from the 2017 version to be the most economical mobile phones of the Korean firm from which its first details and aspects have been filtered.

The German web Winfuture has been the source of the ‘leak’, and basically, almost all the tab of the features of the terminal has been published. The so-called SM-J250 model has an external design very similar to J2 this year, although with a more stylized point in the chassis. Especially in the back, which has changed the design of the camera and houses one with the lens and the flash placed vertically.

The screen is a Super AMOLED and has increased to 5 inches with respect to the J2 (2017), presenting a resolution of 960 x 540. The redesigned rear camera is 8 megapixels and the front 5 megapixels, both with LED flash and with more resolution.

The most economical Samsung

Inside we have a Snapdragon 425 4-core processor at 1.4 GHz, one of the most popular Qualcomm brand for this range. The J2 (2018) has 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal space, all powered by a battery of 2,600 mAh and operating system we find Android 7.1.1 Nougat, in addition to Dual SIM.

As we see, an ideal smartphone for those looking for something simple and do not want big things, and a priori one of those terminals that in emerging countries like India can become a success. The filtered price is around $135 to the change, although until Samsung does not pronounce itself in a firm, none of this is safe.
