Oppo has opened its first official offline store in Shanghai China for creating communication with the customers. The store will also have the Oppo R11s New Year Edition for sales, which is the recently announced phone of the brand.

The first offline Oppo store is located on Huaihai Road of Shanghai, occupying about 500 square meters. There are two zones in the store: Sales and Experience, and the available products are smartphones, speakers, headphones, and other related accessories.

Alen Wu, the Vice President of Oppo commented on the flagship store: “Retail stores, especially the flagship stores, are the main channel for us to communicate with customers. This flagship store expresses our latest ideas on upgrading our retail store experience and elevating our brand. We have chosen our Shanghai Flagship Store as a breakthrough for a better customer experience.”

This solidifies the fact that Oppo is presently focusing on expanding on retail, starting at home. As said by the company, more stores in other cities of China are coming up. Additionally, Oppo recently received approval of opening stores in India as well.

Xiaomi, one of the major rivals at home for Oppo, has also been involved in scaling up its offline space. It already has opened more than 200 Mi stores in China in 2017 and has planned to open about 1,000 stores in the country before 2018 ends.

Furthermore, both the Chinese brands are focusing on expanding business attributes in India for the exclusively potential smartphone markets in the country. Xiaomi started opening Mi stores in India as well and it looks like Oppo will follow the footsteps too!
