The 13.3-inch Samsung Notebook 7 Spin originally debuted in 2016. It was a comparatively economical laptop that doubled as a tablet and was powered by an i5-6200U chipset. In the latest move, Samsung modified the Notebook, and the new 13-inch model has some upsides along with certain disadvantages.

To begin with, the newer model is being powered by, the more modern 8th generation i5 processor. It has 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD and can be logged into with the help of fingerprint sensors. It also has tools that use built-in far-range microphones to help the user record lecture and meeting audio with clarity.

So far as the hardware is concerned, the tweaked model will feature one less full-size USB port; it will have a type C port, a USB 3.0 port, and a USB 2.0 port. Its battery is also smaller in size than that of the parent model, and it has a traditional two-hinge set up instead of its 2016 counterpart’s one long hinge design.

Although, the company has not yet released any information regarding the laptop’s price, it is expected to be launched in the US in the first quarter of 2018. The price is also expected to reflect the slight disadvantages that the new model is going to be hindered by. Apart from the Notebook 7 Spin, Samsung has also announced a trio of Notebook 9 models. But it has stayed tight-lipped regarding any modifications in the 15-inch version of the Spin-Model. All these modifications come prior to the 2018 CES.
