Nvidia is all set to establish its own perch at CES 2018 with its expansive innovation on GPU chips that embrace AI-based solutions in the vehicle industry, starting with Uber and Volkswagen. We have three announcements from the American tech company that define its overwhelming impact on AI and machine learning.

First, Volkswagen will be bringing co-pilot capabilities into its cars by infusing Nvidia AI solutions in assistance systems like Voice Assistant, gaze tracking, and even leveraging real-time data for better driving. Volkswagen is thusly investing €6 billion to signify its leadership in the market.

Next, Nvidia is providing its AI technology to Uber for empowering self-driving vehicles; one news that breaks the transport tech company being traditionally secretive regarding its strategies in autonomous vehicles makes it a leader in the transport tech race.

Lastly, Xavier processors will be part of the DRIVE Pegasus (PX) AI platform of Nvidia, which comes from a $ 2 billion investment for expanding processing power and possibilities in the AV industry.

On a conclusive note, Nvidia is not just maintaining its tradition as the backbone of the AV industry’s progress, but also solidifying its rank further.
