The China-based Huawei has announced to launch its upcoming flagship, Honor 9 Lite packed with loads of features. The smartphone will be available in India exclusively through online retailer Flipkart from January 17. Recently, the company has confirmed the news by a post on Honor’s official fan club page announcing that the launch event will be held on January 17.

Honor 9 Lite is very similar to Honor View 10, in terms of looks. The major difference being that Honor 9 Lite has a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the phone and the 12 layer glass protection at the back projects toughness than any normal glass found on other smartphones. The other features that highlight this phone are, it has 5.65-inch full HD screen display with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and 18:9 and 2.5 D curved glass. The smartphone is built in with Kirin 659 processor with 2.36 GHz accompanied by Mali T830-MP2 GPU.

Customers’ gets to choose from three variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory, 4GB RAM with 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. Though it’s still unknown if all the models are to launch in India or not.

To add more, Honor 9 Lite is set with four cameras – dual cameras set at the front as well as at the back with 13-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensors. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system based EMUI 8.0. The other features include dual SIM slots, 4G LTE, WI-FI connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS. It has a 3,000mAh battery that is provisioned with power saving mode.
