Dell and Meta join forces for bringing Augmented Reality to the market

Yesterday, January 18, Dell announced that it will be the first official re-seller of Meta 2 AR Development Kit. The partnership between Dell and Meta will benefit commercial companies to innovate and adopt new AR tech with more convenience. The ambition of Dell is to provide more accessible AR in business fields of healthcare, construction, and manufacturing.

According to the press release, Meta’s new product bundle will be incorporated into the VR/AR Technology Partner Program of Dell. The Meta 2 Augmented Reality Development Kit includes a bucket of things like the Meta 2 AR headset, headset stand, AC adapter and other required gadgets.

Dell provides an end-to-end ecosystem for VR and AR culture and progression. With the offering of the Meta 2 program, Dell will be able to further transform industries with AR. – Rahul Tikoo, Vice President and General Manager, Dell Precision workstations.

On the other hand, Meta via its program can provide immersive experience on AR with the broadest viewpoints on photorealistic content. This coincides with virtual manipulation through holographic 3D content. Being compatible with Dell’s PCs and workstations, the entire project will impact the compute-heavy applications of the industrial companies for the better.
