Yesterday, January 18, Dell announced that it would be the first official re-seller of the Meta 2 AR Development Kit. The partnership between Dell and Meta will benefit commercial companies to innovate and adopt new AR tech with more convenience. The ambition of Dell is to provide more accessible AR in the healthcare, construction, and manufacturing businesses.

According to the press release, Meta’s new product bundle will be incorporated into Dell’s VR/AR Technology Partner Program. The Meta 2 Augmented Reality Development Kit includes a bucket of things like the Meta 2 AR headset, headset stand, AC adapter, and other required gadgets.

Dell provides an end-to-end ecosystem for VR and AR culture and progression. With the offering of the Meta 2 program, Dell will be able to further transform industries with AR. – Rahul Tikoo, Vice President and General Manager, Dell Precision workstations.

On the other hand, Meta, via its program, can provide an immersive experience on AR with the broadest viewpoints on photorealistic content. This coincides with virtual manipulation through holographic 3D content. Being compatible with Dell’s PCs and workstations, the entire project will impact the compute-heavy applications of the industrial companies for the better.

This is a major element of Meta’s ecosystem development initiatives. We are certain our partnership with Dell will deliver our game-changing technology into many creative hands and drive productivity measures to both developers and corporates alike. –  Joe Mikhail, Chief Revenue Officer of Meta.

Starting February 15, the Meta 2 AR Development Kit will be available on Dell.com for purchase at $1,495.
