Today, January 23, Blackberry officially announced the launch of its new smartphone, the KEYone, that’s open for sale at 3,699 Yuan. It is said to be a durable smartphone as claimed by the brand, and is the successor of the Blackberry KEYone model that was released in April 2017.

Blackberry KEYone bears an appearance of palm gold color and a body made of 6 series aviation metal. The back panel has a classic leather plaid non-slip design along with a skin-friendly texture overall.

The phone features a 4.5-inch screen with 1620 x 1080p resolution support and an aspect ratio of 3:2. It further packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. The front camera is equipped with an 8 MP sensor and the rear camera 12 MP. The battery is of 3,505mAh.

The highlight of the Blackberry KEYone is in terms of security. The device has advanced security system, thanks to the signature DTEK technology of Blackberry. It is able to provide real-time monitoring as well as protection for the operating system.

Additionally, the phone will receive monthly Android security updates that strengthen the security. This is incorporated with the BID (Blackberry Integrity Detection) system, along with Password Keeper, high-strength local lockbox, and other proprietary technologies of Blackberry.

For the time being, we don’t have any more details on the specs but are keeping a tab on things to update you as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
