With only 3 weeks to the launch of Samsung’s brand new S9 and S9+, it appears that pictures and the description of those batteries have been released. The battery of Samsung’s previous Note 7 exploded back in 2016. The irregular size of the batteries was probably the cause of the explosions. Samsung Note 7 tried to seal a sizeable 3500mAh lithium-ion battery into a 7.9mm model and it did not properly fit. This ultimately lead to its explosion.

However, the new leaked photos and information about the batteries are making the customers release a sigh of relief. A large phone with a lasting battery is every customer’s dream. This is where previously Samsung failed to satisfy its customers with the Note 7. The device also needs to be slim and elegant as ever. Many were hoping that Samsung would bag more battery life in a slim and sleek phone. So with the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Samsung played it fairly safe.

The description listed by Union Repair revealed that the brand new Samsung Galaxy S9 battery and Galaxy S9+ battery would be pegged at an excellent 3,000mAh and 3500mAh, respectively. They will probably have the same battery capacity as the previous S8 and S8+. The S9 and the S9+ are expected to retain the same capacity as last year.

The latest Samsung model will use a 10mm LPP processor, which reduces the theoretical power consumption by 15%. Also, with the addition of Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810, the battery should not be too bad and theoretically function very well. The reported information also shows the charging or data interface corresponding to the circuit board cable in the S9 and S9+.

Samsung has already confirmed that it will launch the new S9 and S9+ at MWC in Barcelona this month. They should be available in stores all over the world by the end of March 2018.
