Today, Apple has announced a new repair program for iPhone smartphones that were sold on or after September 2016.

It was in the month of September 2016 when some of the defective iPhone 7 users reported that a “No reception” or “No service” message was continuously appearing on the status bar of their phones, though the cellular network was clearly visible. Apple was investigating the issue for over a year and has finally come up with a solution recently.

Apple has found that a small percentage of iPhone 7 devices in the status bar can see No service (even if mobile coverage was available) because a component on the motherboard has failed.- The company published on the service page for the repair program.

So, as the actual reason has been finally detected by the company, Apple has confirmed that the infected devices will be fixed by them free of cost (within two years of the original purchase date).

As per the company, hardware failure is seen only in the defective iPhone 7 within the model numbers A1660, A1780, and A1779. The affected units were sold between the span of September 2016 to February 2018 in the countries like US, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Macao. Germany got untouched by the bug as only the models with type code A1778 were distributed over the country.

Though some sources claimed that the Californian tech-giant was using some defective or vulnerable components purportedly, no concrete evidence has been found to back-up this statement.

So, if you facing this issue and the phone belongs to the aforesaid type-code you can visit the nearest authorized Apple repair center and get your iPhone fixed.
