Xiaomi’s love for India is going to reach a grander height on the coming Valentine’s Day. Yesterday, February 11, Mi India tweeted a teaser with #WhatIsThat, hinting at a February 14 release of not just the Redmi Note 5 but another surprise that’s likely to be the Mi TV!

If the tweet indication for the television production of the Chinese giant is true, then Xiaomi Mi TV will be stepping outside its homeland for the first time. The tweet as well carries the link to register for live streaming and says that a ‘wonderful’ happening awaits India on the special global celebration day! The teaser is well complemented by a video attached to the tweet that features people with expressions of wonder.

The Mi TV 4 was released in China in early 2017, with available variants 49-, 55- and 65-inch screens. It is also one of the sleekest, measuring 4.9mm. Another related series available is the Mi TV 4A with 43-, 49-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch variants.

Mi TV 4 showcases a 4K panel with HDR10 and runs the PatchWall UI of Xiaomi. This interface is based on AI to provide viewers with recommendations per their preferences. It starts at only $500 and is a value for money, considering the satisfying user reviews so far.

Now, the price point and the exact models of Xiaomi’s television set for India are still under speculative radars. All eyes will be on the launch event in New Delhi on Wednesday. Stay tuned for our coverage and further details of the released products of Xiaomi.
