Nintendo Switch, the most popular gaming console currently trending worldwide, ushered in Doom on November 10th, 2017. It has once again made headlines as the game received a number of new updates today, including improved motion aiming.

The latest update regarding motion aiming allows the player to use the built-in gyroscope of the Joy-Con along with traditional aiming using the controller’s analog stick. This allows users to aim more precisely by allowing them to tilt their consoles while aiming and provides a better and more interactive and immersive interface. This updated option of ‘motion aiming’ in the menu is quite similar to the motion controls in Splatoon 2.

Doom Nintendo Switch’s latest update has also added a new party system to Doom multiplayer. This shall allow players to team up with friends while playing the game and vanquishing foes. The third update to grace the game is a shiny new game icon that mimics the look of the classic game and matches the game’s box art.

Apart from these, increased average resolution in lower-resolution areas of the game, CPU optimization, and the addition of traditional Chinese language support are some of the improvements made in the updated version. Among fixes, the update has fixed an issue that resulted in a possible crash when using the BFG, fixed an issue that caused audio issues while playing and caused stretched textures to appear in multiplayer. It also fixed an issue where controls became unresponsive on the game menu and an issue where players may have incorrectly received a ban notice in multiplayer.
