Lenovo is proudly boasting of a huge list of innovations to add to the world of technology, to be launched at MWC, 2018. Its multifarious projects include the involvement of Augmented Intelligence in devices like smartphones and laptops to greatly improve and smoothen user experience by bringing together the key elements of intelligence, data, computing power, and algorithm.

At MWC, Motorola aims to showcase Moto Health Mod, the transformative Moto Mod. The Health Mod measures five vital signs, including accurate systolic and diastolic blood pressure, via the Moto Z device, thus enabling the users to utilize their smartphones to keep track of their physical wellness.

Motorola shall also share insights from the recent Phone-life Balance Study developed in partnership with Dr. Nancy Etcoff, a renowned expert in Mind-Brain Behavior and the Science of Happiness at Harvard. One of the study’s main findings has been how people, especially the younger people who are growing up in the digital age, are putting technology before their relationships with themselves and others. To do away with this problem, however, partially, Motorola has partnered with SPACE, an app that helps one make more mindful of one’s phone usage.

To further enrich its convertible laptops/tablets line, Lenovo is set to launch the Yoga 730 (in 13-inch and 15-inch models) and the new 14-inch Yoga 530 at MWC. Along with powerful laptop performance and tablet portability characteristic of the 2-in-1 devices, the Windows 10-powered Yoga 730 has Alexa and Cortana built-in. Apart from utilizing the power of Lenovo smart AI devices to give hands-free, intelligent assistance, the device offers more choice and recognizes voice commands from across the room.

Lenovo’s ruggedized trio, Lenovo 500e, 300e 2-in-1’s and 100e Chromebooks, built for educational purposes, have been made available for consumers. While the 300e has been proofed against spills and drops and features Lenovo Enhanced Touch technology to allow the use of everyday objects to interact with the screen, the 500e provides an EMR™ Pen with Google®’s innovative near lag-free algorithms for writing and sketching. Lenovo Smart Display, launched at CES 2018, combines the voice capability of the Google Assistant™ with a vibrant, full HD touchscreen display, allowing connected smart home devices, from lighting to heating, to be controlled by voice or a mere glance at the device.

To make the user experience more interactive, Lenovo shall showcase how Lenovo Mirage™ Solo standalone VR headset and Lenovo Mirage Camera, a VR180 camera, allow users to create as well as consume their own VR content using Google’s Daydream. Star Wars™: Jedi Challenges, with its Lenovo Mirage AR headset and Lightsaber controller, allows gamers to experience Jedi training in AR.

Lenovo is launching a performance-optimized offering based on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650/SR630 servers and switches, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Mellanox ConnectX-4 NICs for accelerated packet processing. It is also joining the ‘Intel Select Solution for NFV’ program and offering a solution comprised of Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) and Intel XXV710 NIC enabled on Lenovo SR650/SR630 servers, specially optimized for encryption and compression-based NFV workloads.

Lenovo will also demonstrate the first 5G-ready base station with software and virtualized centralized and distributed units (CU/DU) implementation. While Lenovo will showcase its ‘device to datacentre’ solutions at Lenovo Showcase in Hall 3, Space 3N30 during MWC; in the Intel booth, it will also display a ‘self-optimizing 5G network’ solution based on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 servers.
