When most of you out there were excited about the new flagship phone of Nokia and Samsung that is supposed to be announced at the Mobile World Congress just hours before, Xiaomi grabbed everyone’s attention to reveal the launch date of the Mi Mix 2S. Xiaomi took the Twitter platform to reveal its launch date on March 27. The launched phone, the Mi Mix 2S will also be the first Xiaomi phone to be powered by Snapdragon 845.

Xiaomi tweeted- “can you guess what is coming?” In the tweet, it asks the fans to guess the upcoming reveal, though it was not needed as the attached image in the tweet contained all the details, a high-end phone that will compete with others like S9, Nokia 8, and OnePlus 6, and the iPhone 9. Before the report of the launch date, it was reported that it would be launched at the MWC 2018. But instead, it is going to be launched in China on March 27, and to seek some more royalty, Xiaomi also added the Antutu score and hardware details.

Given its name with S nomenclature, chances are that the Mi Mix 2S will have a design very similar to that of the Mi Mix 2, launched six months ago. The tweeted image showcases that the Mi Mix 2S will again bring the rear camera on the top at the right corner. With its even more non-existing bezel around the screen and fantastic screen-to-body ratio, it suggests that the device will be slimmer than Mi Mix 2.

Xiaomi also confirmed that the new Mi Mix 2S phone would come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. As reported, the phone will have a fingerprint sensor on the back or under the glass, a new technology now available for use in phones.

While the China launch is all set we are still unaware when the phone will arrive in India and with what price. Just like Apple plays the game, Xiaomi too ensured that the MWC eve would not be forgotten with its announcements to steal some thunder away from the world’s biggest mobile phone trade show.
