The popular fitness bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 2 was released almost a year and a half back. Since then, it has been a ‘Fly high’ time for Xiaomi’s wearables as it has launched many of its analog models in the market, some of them up the quotient of quality and operability over the initial model. Adding to the swing of launching fresh variants, a third-generation tracker called Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is supposed to hit the market soon. This floating information came up only a couple of weeks ago. Another piece of information was doing the rounds since February that this gadget was certified for sale in China, but no specifics were released. But the details have now been brought out on 5th March 2018. Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, officially stated during the Chinese “Lantern festival” that the brand new Mi Band 3 fitness bracelet will boast many innovative features that are sure to amaze its consumers.

This 3rd-generation variant of the famous sports gadget is touted to be the most technologically high-end model of its product range and is thereby expected to set a milestone in terms of potential market demand for it. All the same, the advanced features in Mi Band 3 would not bring in a hike in its price so that it remains to be affordable for a wider volume of sports enthusiasts in particular and its whole consumer base in general. Although Jun did not elaborate on the specifics of the innovations of this impressive new sports tracker, bits of relevant information about the features have surfaced.

Reportedly, the Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy technology will sync the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 bracelet with smartphones. Supposedly, An NFC sensor will be incorporated in the gadget, which will enable the payment for purchases through the Google Pay system and (apparently Europe and Russia not being a part of this functionality) others, and an integrated GPS module will allow the user to go for a hands-free run while keeping a constant track on one’s location. Along with payment for purchases through payment systems, the NFC sensor will also smoothly sync the sports tracker with a mobile device without having to use Bluetooth, thus saving time and battery power as the sensor efficiently builds a sports tracker to the smartphone and connects with it in a matter of seconds.

The official announcement of the lucrative Mi Band 3 tracker is slated this year in May-June. The Editorial AKKet claims that this sports tracker will be publicly unveiled together with the launch of Xiaomi’s new smartphone flagship called Xiaomi Mi 7. It’s up to the fans of both Xiaomi’s sports bands and smartphones to keep their heads up for the latest updates. Stay tuned!
