Samsung Electronics Canada Inc. unveiled its 2018 innovation at the company’s first look event held at the American Stock Exchange in New York. Samsung highlighted its flagship QLED TV models and its lineup of UHD, Premium UHD, and Ultra-Large Screen TVs. The company also introduced new features, including incredible picture quality, smart capabilities, and unique design elements.

The highlights are:

Ambient Mode

Ambient Mode has been introduced to add value even when consumers are not watching TV. It provides daily information on traffic, weather, and news. It can be used as an information hub within the home and can mimic patterns on the wall to create an astonishing visual effect that seamlessly blends with the wall, no longer a plain black screen when not watching TV.

Direct Full Array

The specified sets of Q8F and Q9F will feature stunning images through Direct Full Array technology. It has a controlled panel that adjusts automatically to deliver deep black and pure white images.

One Visible Connection

The new One Visible Connection is one slim cable between the TV and your power connection. The company launches the first singular cable in the TV industry capable of transmitting both data and power with a seamless look.

Featuring Bixby

2018 Samsung’s new QLED TV will feature Bixby, a Samsung intelligence platform that was first launched on its mobile devices. Effortless login uses the SmartThing app, reducing the time to set up a new TV. It can understand natural language, search for content, and sync Galaxy smartphones to share things between screens.

Audio Lineup

Samsung also improves its audio experiences and offers four new audio products.

HW-N950: To create an extraordinary cinematic experience, it offers front, up, and new side-firing speakers that deliver 7.1.4 surround sound.

HW-NW700: This perfect home décor item blends beautifully into the home environment, complementing the QLED TV.

HW-N650: This is designed for absolute gamers with Acoustic Beam Technology.

VL550: With a metal dial, it can be attached to any metallic surface and controlled with the voice’s sound.

2018 TV lineup Details

Samsung TV line features 9 series within the QLED TV, Premium UHD, UHD and Ultra-Large Screen display range, available in different sizes. Featured in both flat and curved displays.

QLED TV:  Q9F (65″, 75″, 88″), Q7C (55″, 65″), Q7F (55″, 65″, 75″) Q8F (55″, 65″, 75″, 82″), and Q6F (49″, 55″, 65″, 75″, 82″). This feature intensified color and contrast; Smart TV is boosted with Bixby Voice, One Remote Control HDR10+ compatibility, Ambient Mode, and the One Invisible Connection.

Premium UHD: Premium UHD TV lineup includes NU8500 and NU8000. These are featured with dynamic crystal color, HDR10+ compatibility, clean cable solutions, and Smart TV enhancements with Bixby Voice and One Remote Control.

UHD: lineup include NU7100 (75/65/58/55/50/43/40″) and NU7300 (65/55″). These features 4K UHD and HDR picture capabilities, clean cable solutions, slim design, and Smart TV capabilities.

The lineup of televisions will be available in stores from March 2018.
