Must Read

Chrome users will soon be able to export their saved passwords in a text file in a snap-of-a-finger. This feature is currently available in the Chrome Dev channel version.

Chrome Password Manager

Users who are in the Chrome Dev version will now be able to find the “Saved Passwords” and click “Export passwords” to download the file. It is not available to everyone yet because it’s still in the developing mode.

The news, revealed by Chrome evangelist Francois Beaufort on Google Plus, doesn’t specify a timeframe for the feature, but if one wants to try it out, they need to switch to the dev mode, search for “passwords” in Chrome settings, look for the three-dot menu for them to open a drop-down menu named “saved passwords” and click “export passwords.” Everything saved in Chrome will be exported into a text (.csv) file, which can then be imported easily into other without any hassle.

It’s a relief to see Android finally show up on the desktop to simplify the password management needs of users.
