Life is getting simple with advancements in technology, and henceforth Apple has upgraded many devices with the same intention. This tech giant is really aware of what it can do to bring the best to its users. Apple has plans for an Apple Watch, which will be able to detect Hyperkalemia without worrying about blood work.
Apple Watch with Kardiaband will be equipped with an AliveCor EKG reader system, which can be used to encounter hyperkalemia. This device can effortlessly detect high potassium levels in the blood. This EKG reader, when paired with artificial technology, will be able to achieve this objective without getting into the pain of inserting those needles into the skin for blood samples.
A study was conducted with over 2 million ECGs linked to 4 million serum potassium values collected from 1994 to 2017. This device was able to achieve 94% accuracy. This test was initiated by AliveCor; with the help of Mayo Clinic, they developed a new algorithm for Kardiaband that will analyze EKG data for hyperkalemia.
The user just needs to touch the sensor, which will, at the moment, take the reading of the heart’s electrical activity, known as EKG. The reading will further reveal abnormal heart rhythm and atrial fibrillation.
