6.28-inch Vivo X21 launched officially with Snapdragon 660 and dual pixel P3 camera

Vivo X21 launched today at 19:30 PM (CHINA STANDARD TIME) via a live online broadcast event in China. Although a few screenshots of its official documents released online includes most of its specs. It even got its own listing on Jingdong.com, a popular online electronics shop, for early bird purchase benefits.

The availability of this flagship is in two variants, differing only in the position of the fingerprint scanner, the rest of the specifications being the same. The regular one has the scanner at the back and the UD version has it sleekly hidden beneath the display, these reports were confirmed earlier via some reports.

 

Just like the OPPO R15, this beauty comes with a 6.28-inch FHD+ display coupled with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It will run on a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 2.2GHz octa-core processor, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for seamless functionality. The user can also opt to expand a further 256 GB worth of memory via MicroSD.

Coming to the camera, the Vivo X21 AI Backlight snapper uses artificial intelligence algorithm to make the detection of backlight more accurate and more natural with the Rubik’s cube technology. The camera with a large amount of incoming light matches the P3 color gamut to make the images under the backlight more vivid and real. The newly launched smartphone comprises of one more interesting feature, the AR shooter to enjoy a lot of AR stickers directly on the X21.

As for its other specs, it comes with Google’s newest Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 bringing a complete AI system experience. New smart desktops, new file management systems, 5G transfer mirror replacement, new features such as photo-cleaning, makes the X21 experience full of simplicity, fun, and wisdom. But a 3200mAh battery for such a power-packed phone is bound to simmer a bit of its attraction. It also contains Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, USB 2.0, OTG, GPS, and face unlock feature.

Another new thing Vivo brought today on the desk is Vivo artificial intelligence, Jovi. Vivo’s Senior Vice President Shi Yujian took office and released the new brand image of the smart assistant which will serve as an embodiment of Vivo artificial intelligence assistant, giving you a brand-new one-stop product experience, allowing you to enjoy technology with temperature!

The Vivo X21 UD comes in the attractive shades of Ice Drill Black and Ruby Red. The regular version comes in both the colors mentioned above, as well as a dazzling Aurora White and will be made available at stores from March 24.
