Throughout 2017, Snapdragon 660 has been Qualcomm’s main midrange chip. The likes of OPPO R11, OPPO R11s, Vivo X20, Xiaomi Note 3, and Nut Pro 2 have used it in their devices & the feedback has been quite impressive. The company has now decided to take one step further & introduce the successor of Snapdragon 660.
A brand new 360 device, with model number 1809-A01, appeared on GeekBench on 28th March. It reportedly has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor inside. The Snapdragon 670 has an impressive single-core score of 1844 and a multi-core score of 5689 by its name.
Since the 360 N6 Pro bears the model number 1801-A01, this new 360 device is suspected to be a new generation N series product. Apart from the Snapdragon 670 chip, it runs on Android 8.1 and contains 6 GB of memory.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 is manufactured by the 10nm process, with its CPU core being the outcome of the ‘big.LITTLE’ architecture. Both of the high-end custom Cortes A-75 cores are built with Kryo 300 Gol architecture. The Kryo 300 Silver architecture is utilized to build the 6 low-end custom Cortex A-55 cores. The low-end core boasts a maximum clock speed of approximately 1.7 GHz, whereas the high-end core is capable of reaching almost 2.6 GHz at its best.
