Latias and Latios, psychic and ‘highly intelligent’ dragon types, are available in Pokemon Go starting yesterday, April 2. They will take turns and be available in regional rotation.
Legendary Bird Lugia’s retirement is making way for these Pokemon, where Latios will be available in North and South Americas and Africa. Latias, on the other hand, will cover Asia/Pacific and Europe. It will be so until May 8, and then they will switch.
Due to the introduction of these dragon-like Pokemon, the popular Tyranitar is expected to be back with its Super-effective first attack, Bite. Niantic further gave out points on the abilities of Pokemon Go Latias and Latios. These are telepathic communication with humans, stealthy and extremely fast in flight, invisibility for Latias and overtaking capability of jets for Pokemon Go Latios.
Additionally, the developers have brought a new quest system in the game: simple daily objectives to encourage and increase the engagement of passionate gamers. This will bring some refreshment for you, a newlines to counter your possible boredom of playing Pokemon Go.
