WhatsApp will be rolling a new beta update out on the Android platform. This latest WhatsApp beta android update is going to come with the much-anticipated feature called locked audio recording. To access the locked audio recordings feature, users must tap the “mic” icon in the chat.
It’ll take 0.5 seconds for the lock microphone button to appear. Once the ‘lock microphone button is visible, the users can simply enable the lock recording by sliding their finger up on the icon. The UI is designed so that once the audio recording is locked, the users can navigate back to the chat without even holding the microphone button. This new feature gives the option to the user to listen to the voice message before sending it.
In the previous versions, while recording a voice message, the users had to tap and hold the recording button until the recording was done. It wasn’t really convenient.
The WhatsApp locked recording audio feature will be made available to the iOS platform, too, very soon.
As a part of this new update, the users can check the size of a specific stickers pack before downloading it.
The beta testers of WhatsApp can directly update the app from the Play Store. Others can download the APK and side-load it.
