HMD Global, the company behind the revival of the Nokia brand, on April 7 announced a series of smartphones launching in the Indian market at a special event held a few days ago. Now, the first of these devices, the Nokia 6 (2018) is available for sale to Indian consumers.

The new Nokia is an improved version of the original Nokia 6, which was Nokia’s first smartphone. The novelty is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor running on Android that can be upgraded to Oreo 8.0. The latest version of the Nokia device features 5.5-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution at a 16:9 aspect ratio. As for the camera, the front camera features 8 MP, whereas the rear camera sports 16 MP.  The phone supports dual card dual standby and full Netcom powered by a built-in 3000mAh battery.

The new Nokia 6 is specifically designed for users of Alipay and WeChat with a one-handed fingerprint and quick start function. Not only that, the phone also supports card smart SMS and other functions.

The Nokia 6 (2018) in the Indian market to be priced at Rs. 16,999 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variants. As per the officials, Nokia 6 is expected to receive Google’s monthly security update.
