The release is being celebrated by live.playstation.com as the ‘Countdown to Launch. Throughout this entire week, there will be new videos, giveaways, a launch-night live stream, and special guests. The live stream on launch night is going to be celebrated like never before. There will be a tour of the development of God of War, containing early development materials. The God of War Launch Livestream will take place at live.playstation.com at 7:30 PM Pacific on the 19th of April. The list of special guests with the names Cory Barlog, Bear McCreary, Christopher Judge, and Sunny Suljic is revealed.
Three God of War avatars will be available in the form of giveaways during the countdown in the US, Canada, and LATAM. The first avatar is going live on April 13. Anyone can earn the avatar by completing a simple quest on live.playstation.com between April 13 and April 19. The second avatar will go live on April 15 and can be earned the same way as the first one.
The third avatar, though will not be that easy to earn. One has to watch the live stream on April 19 at live.playstation.com to complete the quest for the third avatar. The third one will be available for that night only.
The God of War fans in the United States can win a PS4 Pro bundle by simply logging in to live.playstation.com between April 12 and April 19 and then completing a quest. After that, they have to watch the live stream on April 19 and click on the sweepstakes tab.
