Intex Technologies, an India-based smartphone, and accessories manufacturer have launched its latest budget-oriented smartphone, Intex UDAY, in India. The device will be exclusively available across 26 retail outlets in Pune, at a price tag of Rs 7,999. Besides this, the brand has introduced a Rs 2,200 cashback offer for existing and new Reliance Jio customers.

In terms of specs, the smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels as well as powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The novelty is also provisioned with a microSD card slot, enabling users to expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 128 GB with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

To talk about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper which is also accompanied by an LED flash and includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is juiced up by a 2800mAh Li-ion battery which claims to offer up to 168 hours of standby time.

Uday will be available in three color variants, i.e., Blue, Black, and Champaign. The phone has been priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be available for purchase exclusively through leading retail chains in Pune, India. Furthermore, the company has partnered with Jio and will be providing eligible Intex device users with Rs 44 cashback vouchers worth Rs 50 each, which will be credited to the MyJio App and can be redeemed later.
